As a software vendor and maker of extensions, you should be able to apply to and join the Pre-Release beta programs that Adobe runs. Then you would be able to proactively build an updated extension and release an update in unison with the Adobe release. Contact Jeff Tranberry (Twitter: @ jtranber) at Adobe to find out how to apply.

Ugh. My PS CC updated last night. Not sure if I want to uninstall it and move back to the 2015.1.2 release as I have limited bandwidth and can’t afford to download the 2015.5 update again. The joys of living out in the rural countryside.

Jim, why would you uninstall it? You can have both on your computer and work in whichever you like – that’s exactly why I made this post today 🙂

Actually, I checked, and my update to 2015.5 failed, as I need to update the VC library files. Phew.. So I can change my update settings so it doesn’t delete the 2015.1.2 version allowing me to have both versions installed. Yay! I really want to experiment with some of the new stuff in the update.

Can you share your export for web with us, How do you get the full image in on Instagram or are you just cropping to the size ratio Instagram is providing? Inspired by your work.

Thank you Manuel! I export via Save for Web button on the Beauty Retouch panel and usually do 1200px wide, 70% quality, sRGB JPEG for sharing images online. The files are displayed well on Instagram as well as on Facebook after they are shared from IG. I do approximate ratio without trying to match it precisely, but if the image is too long vertically I add some white space via Canvas Size, but that’s not that often, I usually try to crop images approximately to IG proportions to begin with.

yeah I hate the white boarders and something the vertical image loses the feel with not being about to use the full size. Welp, just got to play with what cards are dealt
